Cronk to stay at Storm
Melbourne lynchpin Cooper Cronk has ended speculation about his future by signing a new four-year deal with the Storm.
The 28-year-old Australia and Queensland halfback had been linked with a number of clubs including Gold Coast, St George and South Sydney.
But he has instead chosen to remain with Melbourne and is likely to remain a one-club player.
“Cronk’s long-term future with Melbourne Storm is a testament to the club’s strong culture,” the Storm said in a statement.
“Cooper’s emotional attachment to Melbourne Storm was one of the key factors in his decision, one that is likely to see him become a one club player.
“With his decision now made, the club now turns its full attention to Friday night’s clash against the Knights.”
