David Mead joins Brisbane
Brisbane have signed Papua New Guinea international David Mead on a one-year contract.
The 32-year-old utility back has spent the last three seasons in Super League with Catalans, scoring 28 tries in 58 games for the Dragons.
Mead scored 70 tries in 159 NRL games for Gold Coast Titans and Brisbane between 2009-16. He has played for Papua New Guinea 14 times.
Broncos coach Kevin Walters said: “David has really good experience, both here and overseas. He’s played international football.
“We feel we’ve got a lot of good, young players coming through and David is one of those players who can help nurture their training habits, their playing habits.
“He’s a very experienced player and we’re very happy to have him on board.”
David Mead always knew he wanted to return to the NRL and is grateful for his new opportunityhttps://t.co/R0BztcdLP5 pic.twitter.com/kKaEgCgjzv
