Dean hopeful Widnes can progress in Cup
Widnes centre Chris Dean is anticipating a very tough test when his team clash with St Helens in the Challenge Cup quarter-final this Sunday.
The Vikings have been suffering some poor form in Super League recently, but Dean hopes that league form becomes irrelevant in a knock-out tie.
“It will be a tough game against St Helens, there’s no doubt about that,” he said.
“But the Cup has a different feel about it and league form doesn’t really matter as such.
“It’s always nice to go into a game like this with a bit of form under your belt, but we know that in a knock-out match that we have a chance.”
