Dewsbury look to develop Tetley’s Stadium
Dewsbury are pushing ahead with plans to develop the Tetley’s Stadium.
Terracing is set to be erected at the Owl Lane end (east) of the ground, while the club also has long term plans to build a new stand at the Bywell Road end (west).
A group of fans are behind the plans to put terracing at the east end.
One of those fans, Graham Beaumont, said: “We’ve submitted all that’s required and we’re just waiting now for the green light to commence work – we’re ready to go.
“A pathway running around the pitch is complete and we have funding in place already for us to complete 60% of the project. And, while that percentage is growing, we’re hopeful of getting other individuals and local businesses on board.
“It’s costing us around £4,000 per step and we want to try and get it done as quickly as possible, as we can then get the barriers put in place and permission to use it.”
