Dobson injury concern for Rovers
Hull KR will anxiously be waiting for news on scrum half Michael Dobson, who went off injured in Sunday’s win over Wakefield.
Dobson, 25, was forced off on the 30 minute mark at Belle Vue, but the Rovers were still able to come away 22-10 victors.
The Australian, who last week chalked up his 100th appearance in the red and white, is due for a scan today, and coach Craig Sandercock will be hoping the injury isn’t a serious one, particularly as he is already without Dobson’s first choice half-back partner, Blake Green.
The coach told the club’s official website: “It makes it very tough and if you take the first-choice halves out of any side in the competition.
“Michael has hurt his shoulder and I need to have a look at the video because in my opinion there were a few occasions when our players were taken out late.
“He’ll go for scans and at this stage we’re not quite sure what the exact problem is and how long he’ll be out for. We’re treating it as best we can at the minute and will be keeping our fingers crossed – we won’t know anything for sure until the scans are done.”
Dobson joined Rovers in 2008, having previously played in Super League for Catalan and Wigan.
