Duerden wants to leave Raiders on a high
On-loan Barrow forward John Duerden wants to make sure that he ends his spell at the club with a victory against Keighley this weekend.
Duerden is on loan from Barrow’s fellow Cumbrians Workington Town, and, although there is a chance that his time with the Raiders could be extended, he is determined to ensure that he turns in a fine performance in what could be the final game of his spell.
“It will be a good game, it will be a lot tighter, they are a well-established side,” the 23-yearold told the North West Evening Mail.
“They always play well at home and they are quite a physical side. It is definitely a tough competition, but hopefully we should have a good result.
“It will be a real good test of endurance and skill. It will be good to have a win and that would be my fourth from my month there.
“It will definitely help them secure their position.”
