Dugan pens new Raiders deal
Josh Dugan will remain with Canberra for another two years at least, after agreeing a new deal.
The 21-year-old full back put to and end months of speculation by penning a contract which will see him stay with the Raiders until the end of 2014.
“My manager and Don (Furner) have worked really hard to get it over the line and get it sorted,” said Dugan.
“I know that they have been talking a lot, but it’s finally finished and now I can’t wait to get out there for round one.”
Dugan had reportedly been the target of a number of NRL clubs, but the New South Wales Origin representative always wanted to stay in the capital.
“There was a lot of talk about me leaving, but I never really had any meetings with any other clubs and my heart was always here with Canberra,” he said.
“I definitely see myself here long term, but as a player you have to test your worth now and then and I’ve always been a player that backs my ability.”
