Early Shaun Kenny-Dowall update following injury in defeat
Interim Hull KR boss Danny McGuire has provided an early update on skipper Shaun Kenny-Dowall following his injury sustained in the defeat to Leeds.
The centre was forced from the field in the first half at Craven Park and McGuire has confirmed a potential torn MCL injury. The Robins also lost forward Greg Richards during the first half.
McGuire headed into the clash already without 11 first-team players due to injuries. They did however welcome back Scotland international Kane Linnett, who missed the last 11 games through injury.
England World Cup hopeful Ryan Hall also returned from injury for the first time in two games, scoring against his former club.

McGuire provides Shaun Kenny-Dowall update
“I think he’s torn his MCL,” McGuire told Jenna Brooks on Sky Sports following the defeat.
“That’s not good. We’re just used to it at the minute. We lost Greg Richards to a torn hamstring.
“I’m not looking for sympathy but I’ve no idea how we’ll look to put a team together next week or the two games the weekend after. We’re not in a good place. Someone might have to help us out there.
“We’re in a good place in terms of togetherness and a team, but injury wise I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s crazy.
“We’ve got to roll our sleeves up and carry on and see how we go.”
It could mean Kenny-Dowall has played his last game of 2022, especially if the Robins don’t make the play-offs. They currently sit ninth in the league table, three points behind sixth-placed Leeds.
Kenny-Dowall has however signed a new deal for the 2023 season.
