England Knights defeat Cumbria
England Knights defeated Cumbria this afternoon by recording at 26-12 victory at the Recreation Ground in Whitehaven this afternoon.
The victory meant the Knights maintained their 100% winning record following their 38-18 victory over France at Leigh Sports Village last weekend.
The first half proved to be an arm wrestle with just the one try from Leeds centre Zak Hardaker before the break, giving the Knights a 4-0 lead at half time.
Tries from the Knights in the second half came from Luke Gale, Kris Whelham, Liam Watts and Josh Charnley, with the Wigan winger also adding three conversions which ensured the visitors came out victorious.
The Cumbrians however did get on the scoresheet through prop forward and captain Kyle Amor, whilst Brad Singleton also crossed the whitehash for the hosts. Veteran half back Darren Holt and Hull FC winger Will Sharp each added a conversion to the tries.
