Warrington forward returns to Widnes on loan
Widnes have signed young Warrington forward Eribe Doro on an initial one month’s loan.
Doro, 20, made three appearances for the Vikings last season on a similar basis before being recalled.
He told the club’s official website: “I’m really happy to be back and I’m looking forward to the time I’m going to spend at the club.
“I enjoyed the environment last year and really got on with Simon and the lads, so I’m looking to help the boys here and do my bit for them. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
Doro was sinbinned on his Widnes debut last April, a 30-30 draw at Newcastle, and played in their games against Dewsbury and Batley.
He goes straight into contention for Widnes’ Championship opener at London Broncos on Sunday.
HERITAGE: AFCON: Our selection of African rugby league players
Born in Manchester with Nigerian heritage, Eribe Doro made his Super League debut with Warrington in 2020.
He scored his first try for the club in the 44-18 win over Leigh in June.
After being recalled from his loan last season, handed a one-month ban by the RFL after being found guilty of breaching the RFL’s betting and related activity rules.
There was no connection to Warrington fixtures, or indeed rugby league, as Doro had placed a bet on football matches a year previously.
