Farah expecting Dragons classic

Wests Tigers and St George have enjoyed some classic encounters over recent years and Friday night’s round three clash will be no different, according to Robbie Farah.

The Tigers skipper is expecting a tough reception at Kogarah and an even tougher contest with the Dragons.

“There are always close battles between us. It goes back to the preliminary finals and since then, there is a great history between the sides,’’ Farah said.

“Every time we seem to play, they are close games. Last year at Kogarah they had our measure. We came back late and almost got them towards the end but they held on.

“The game at the SFS saw us get them by a couple of points and we beat them in the semi-final game (at ANZ Stadium).

“They are always great battles. Very tight and very close. A good genuine eighty minute contest.”

The Tigers go into the match without injured winger Matt Utai, while doubt remains over the fitness of second rower Gareth Ellis who is still struggling with a dead leg.
