Featherstone announce six departures
Featherstone have announced the departures of six players in their latest club update.
Alec Susino, Conor Carey, Brandan French, Jack Richardson, Bradley Wright and Nathan Wright have all been released by the club ahead of the 2021 Championship season.
Football manager Steve Gill said: “We have also lost Alec Susino and Conor Carey who will be staying in Australia, which is a big blow to us, but we have been working hard to replace them.
“We will also not be renewing the contracts of Brandan French, Jack Richardson, Bradley Wright and Nathan Wright. Everyone leaving the club this summer goes with our best wishes and we hope they continue with their promising careers.
“We have more announcements to make on other new signings which will come in due course. Obviously, we announced the signings of Callum Field and Frankie Halton, both of whom have the ability and mentality to become Super League players.
“I also wanted to bring some young players in who, due to no fault of themselves, find themselves without a club now reserves grade has been cancelled. I went through hours of video footage and picked up Liam Whitton, Loui McConnell, Joe Summers, Jacob Doyle and Harvey Spence, who all come from Super League academies.”
