Featherstone bring back former forward
Featherstone have announced the signing of Kyle Trout for the 2022 season from French side Limoux Grizzlies.
Trout made the move to France in early 2021 after leaving Super League side Hull KR at the end of the 2020 season.
He had two spells at Post Office Road before. In 2014 and 2015, he played a combined 16 matches on dual-registration from Wakefield Trinity.
Trout also had spells at Whitehaven, Batley, Doncaster and Hunslet before leaving Wakefield permanently in 2016. He joined Dewsbury.
He would have two spells at the Rams, with a year at Sheffield wedged in the middle before making the move to Hull KR.
Trout would make a brief return to the English game last year, playing for Newcastle. He made eight appearances in total for the Thunder in the Championship.

Trout latest through the door at Featherstone
The 30-year-old is the latest player to sign for Brian McDermott’s side ahead of the 2022 season.
The most high-profile name through the door is Samoan international Joey Leilua, who comes in with a wealth of NRL experience, having previously been named Dally M Centre of the Year in 2016 and 2018.
Bayley Gill has also recently signed for the club from Mackay Cutters in Australia.
Signings closer to home include the former Castleford forward Jesse Sene-Lefao, Leigh pair Ben Hellewell and Matty Wildie, Leeds winger Luke Briscoe, Brandon Pickersgill from Bradford and York halfback Morgan Smith.
Rovers open their championship campaign away to York at the LNER Community Stadium on 31st January. It is the first game to be shown as part of the Championship’s new TV deal with Premier Sports.
They will be hoping to go one better in 2022, having lost in the playoff finals in both 2019 and 2021. The season was voided in 2020.
