Ferguson out for a month
Huddersfield forward Dale Ferguson will be out for up to a month with a knee injury.
Ferguson, 23, picked up the knock in Saturday’s 32-22 defeat against Huddersfield, and comes as a blow to the former Wakefield man, who had worked hard to recover from injury in pre-season.
Coach Nathan Brown told the club’s official website: “He hurt his knee in the first half of the Warrington game and had to come off. He took a knock to the back of his knee in a similar spot to pre-season but it isn’t a recurrence of that injury, it is similar to the injury Kev (Brown) suffered last year against Bradford.
“Everything is good structurally he will just need four weeks to rehabilitate the injury. Dale has had a bit of an unlucky run but I am sure his luck will turn.”
There is some good news for Brown, however, with the news that Larne Patrick and Keith Mason are back to full fitness, ahead of Sunday’s match at London Broncos.
But the Giants will be without hooker Tommy Lee, who was banned for two matches for a high tackle on Warrington’s Lee Briers last weekend.
