Five players have been charged with punching during Leigh’s Championship win at Halifax last weekend.

Centurions prop Jacob Emmett is up for two charges of Grade A punching, the second coming in an incident involving Halifax prop Tony Tonks, who has been handed a Grade B charge.

The first incident also involved Paul Mennell (Halifax), Sean Penkywicz and Sam Barlow (both Leigh), who all, along with Tonks, have the chance to submit an early guilty plea before Wednesday.

Leigh fought back from 24-0 down to win the game 36-28.
