Flannery struck down with illness

St Helens forward Chris Flannery has been struck down with mumps and will miss Friday’s clash with Wakefield.

Youngster Kyle Eastmond is also suffering with the illness but should be available for the game against the Wildcats.

The pair join Saints’ growing injury list which includes Sean Long, Maurie Fa’asavalu and Jason Cayless.

However, hooker Keiron Cunningham and centre Matt Gidley are both set to return from their respective injuries on Friday.
