Former Wigan pair named in Wests Tigers’ trial squad
Former Wigan players Oliver Gildart and Jackson Hastings have been named in Wests Tigers’ squad to face Sydney Roosters in pre-season.
Gildart will wear his new colours for the second time, having previously played for the Tigers in their 28-4 defeat against Manly last week.
Meanwhile, Hastings will make his first appearance for the Tigers since returning to Australia.
The pair will take to the field for the first time together since Wigan’s playoff defeat to Leeds back in September.
Gildart will play at centre, with David Nofoaluma outside him and James Roberts appearing alongside him at centre. Hastings will take the number six jersey, playing alongside Luke Brooks in the halves for the Tigers.
The match will take place on Friday, with a 9.10am kick-off time in the UK. It will kick off at 8.10pm local time.
Former Saint named for Roosters
Former St Helens and Fiji international Kevin Naiqama will play on the wing for the Roosters in this game.
Like Gildart, he will be making his second appearance for his new club, having played in Sydney’s 32-18 against Canberra in Sydney.
He will appear on the left wing for the Roosters, with Paul Momirovski playing inside him at centre.
