France international Romain Navarrete returns to Catalans
Catalans Dragons have confirmed the re-signing of France international Romain Navarrete on a two-year deal from 2023.
Navarrete, 28, came through the development system at the club before making his professional debut in 2016.
He made 15 Super League appearances for Catalans before linking up with Wigan in 2017. He made 59 appearances for the Warriors in four seasons, before moving on to London Broncos and Wakefield.
The prop forward also featured in the 2018 Super League Grand Final victory over Warrington at Old Trafford.
He most recently featured for Toulouse, where he helped the club to promotion to Super League in 2021. He scored two tries in 23 appearances during their inaugural season in the top flight.

“I am very happy to return to the club where it all started,” he said.
“I would like to thank Steve McNamara and Bernard Guasch for trusting me. I have learned a lot during my time in England and I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to the club that gave me my chance.
“I can’t wait to be back to the Gilbert Brutus Stadium and do everything to help the Dragons to win new trophies.”
Navarrete featured in the 2017 World Cup in Australia with France before winning the European Championship in 2018. He was ruled out with the 2021 tournament due to a knee injury.
Head coach Steve McNamara added: “We are delighted to bring Romain back to the Dragons. He is a strong powerful player who at the age of 28 has matured into a consistent performer. He will add great value to our squad.”
