Full strength Wales to face Australia

Wales are hoping to have a fully fit squad for the clash against Australia in the Gillette Four Nations this Sunday in Wrexham (kick-off 5.45pm).

Welsh bosses are saying that Tyson Frizell, who injured his arm against New Zealand last Saturday at Wembley, and Peter Lupton, who has a hamstring injury, have both been responding well to treatment and neither player has been ruled out for the visit of the Four Nations favourites.

Coach Iestyn Harris said: “At this moment in time the whole squad is in consideration for the Australia game. We are hoping that Tyson and Peter will both be fit, we’ll just have to see how this week goes.

Australia at home is a massive game for us and even though we know we can’t qualify for the Four Nations final, we’re treating the game with respect that it deserves. We want to go out there and put on a first class display of Rugby League and we hope to see a big crowd at the Glyndŵr University Racecourse Stadium on Sunday cheering us on.”
