Gallen out to make opponent pay
Paul Gallen says he will make boxing opponent Ryan Carr “pay” for insulting the Cronulla area.
Carr, who will fight Gallen on December 23 at Shark Park, labelled the NRL star the “head bogan” of the Sutherland Shire.
Gallen said he will knock out Carr out for Cronulla.
“He talked trash about a lot of people and I’m going to make him pay for it,” he said.
“It wasn’t so much about offending me personally, I’m big enough and tough enough and I have to put up with criticism all year round.
“But the area that I live in, I just thought it was really disrespectful to them.
“I won a grand final for them and I’m going to knock the bloke out for them.
“I don’t care if I’m a bogan, I’m from western Sydney, but to offend the rest of the Shire, I’m going to make him pay for it.”
