George Burgess aiming for best season of his career with Wigan
George Burgess will begin pre-season training with new club Wigan on Friday.
The 27-year-old arrives at the Warriors on a three-year contract from NRL side South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Burgess has never played in Super League before, having made the move Down Under as an 18-year-old from Bradford back in 2011.

The England international will begin pre-season training with Adrian Lam’s outfit this week – he currently holds South Sydney’s club record squat of 300kg.
Burgess said: “I didn’t have the best year last year with suspensions and all of that but I am going to put all that behind me this year and bring my best rugby I can.
“Hopefully I can have the best season of my career in Super League.
“I want to be doing those rampaging runs again and hitting hard in defence so I’m going to work hard with the boys in pre-season, get everything firing and make sure we put in the work that we need to.”
