Giant Mason makes Oldham return
Oldham have made their second loan signing of the week in the shape of Huddersfield prop Nathan Mason.
Mason, 20, who stands at 6ft 5ins tall and weighs more than 16 stone, scored two tries in four games for the Roughyeds during a loan spell last July.
Coach Scott Naylor said: “During his time with us Nathan made a huge impact on the team and on our season.
“He played well in every game and I was bitterly disappointed when Huddersfield called him back.
“Needless to say, I jumped at the chance to get him back here again when the opportunity arose.”
Mason made his Super League debut for the Giants against Bradford last season, and was handed the number 25 shirt at the John Smith’s Stadium for this season.
