Warrington suffer blow as length of Gil Dudson injury confirmed
Warrington will be missing new signing Gil Dudson for the first month of the Super League season after the prop suffered a broken hand.
The Wales powerhouse sustained the injury in their 22-10 win over Leigh in Ben Currie’s testimonial match on Saturday night.
And the Wolves have now confirmed that he will be ruled out of action for a minimum of four weeks, so he will miss the early rounds of the campaign.
Fellow new recruit Sam Kasiano also suffered a hip injury in the win over Leigh. However, the former New Zealand and Samoa international will be fit for the opening game of the season against Leeds.

Josh McGuire facing lengthy ban
McGuire made a strong impression in his first outing in primrose and blue on Saturday against Leigh.
However, he was sent off late on in the game for dissent. McGuire and Leigh enforcer Tom Amone have been referred to tribunal for Grade F charges relating to unacceptable language.
The details of the charge for both players explains: “Verbal abuse based on race, colour, religion, gender, sexual preference, disability, national or ethnic origin or any other form of unacceptable behaviour or language.”
McGuire and Amone will hear from a tribunal next Tuesday ahead of the opening round of Super League.
According to the Rugby Football League’s rulebook, A Grade F charge could mean either a minimum ban of six matches or a period of suspension with a fine.
Warrington host Leeds at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Thursday – the opening game of the 2023 campaign. Meanwhile, Adrian Lam’s Leigh will face Salford at the Leigh Sports Village on the Friday.
McGuire is a former Australia and Samoa international. He joined Warrington in the off-season on a two-year deal following a 14-year stint in the NRL.
