Gower to make NRL return with Newcastle

London Broncos forward Craig Gower is set to join Newcastle after agreeing a short-term deal with the Knights.

Gower, 35, has spent the last year with Tony O’Rea’s Broncos but was replaced as London captain by Tony Clubb last week.

A Newcastle statement read: “Following a number of media enquiries linking Craig Gower to the Newcastle Knights, the club can confirm they are in discussions with his management.

“Should there be are any further developments, the club will provide another update at that time.

It is the second piece of good news for Newcastle in the space of two days after forward Korbin Sims signed a new deal with the club on Monday.
