Heavy Wollen Derby Preview
Dewsbury coach Warren Jowitt will be without Anthony England after he sustained a knee injury in last week’s 22-4 win at Hunslet.
Josh Tonks (broken finger) is also doubtful as the Rams search for a way to defeat the current Northern Rail Cup holders.
Jowitt said: “I was pleased with the win against Hunslet, but I wasn’t pleased with some of our skills on display. Overall I wasn’t happy with the performance.”
He added: “We made enough breaks to put a big score on, but we just couldn’t finish them. It gives us something to work on.”
Bulldogs’ Ash Lindsay is definitely ruled out as he serves the second match of a two-game suspension following an incident in Batley’s recent defeat at Featherstone Rovers.
Batley coach Karl Harrison steered his team to an impressive 30-22 win at Barrow last week.
However, the former Great Britain forward has insisted there is more to come from his squad.
Harrison said: “I still believe we’re not quite where we need to be, but we’re certainly heading in the right direction.”
