Highest paid NRL players revealed

Jonathan Thurston, Kieran Foran and Billy Slater are the three top earners in the NRL.

According to Fox Sports’ NRL 360 program, the trio are each paid $1.2 million, which is roughly £638,800, per season.

The figures includes club salaries, third party agreements and the marquee player allowance.

Sam Burgess is the eighth highest paid player in the competition on $800,000 (£425,868). Foran and Burgess are the only two non-Australians on the list.

The top 10 earners in the NRL are as follows:
