Huddersfield appoint reserve coach
Huddersfield have appointed Steve Fox as the club’s reserve coach.
Fox will mainly work with the Giants reserves but he will also work with the first-team and other academy teams.
Giants managing director, Richard Thewlis, said: “Reserves is a new concept to us and our method of facilitating it to best develop our, Halifax and Hunslet’s players is different to what was probably imagined when the RFL made this compulsory.
“In Steve Fox, we have a coach well known by many of our players and staff through his work at the (Leeds) Rhinos and we believe he is the right man to bring the new team together as well as work with the younger players that we have now and will identify going forward.
“It will be a fluid role that Steve has with Andy Kelly (rugby manager) overseeing matters and its one that I am sure – as I have said throughout our off-season of significant change – will develop and improve us as a club moving forward.”
