Hull moved joint top of the Super League table with a comfortable win over Castleford at the KC Stadium.

Richard Horne grabbed a brace of tries as the Tigers remain winless since their opening day victory over Leeds.

In an even opening half hour, the two sides shared four tries, with Kirk Yeaman and Willie Manu crossing for Hull and Ryan Hudson and prolific winger Shaun Ainscough crossing for the visitors.

The teams went in 12-12 at half time, but Richard Agar’s men came out fired up in the second half, and blitzed Castleford with four tries in a devastating ten minute spell.

Horne’s brace plus scores for Peter Cusack and Craig Hall, coupled with four conversions from the boot of Danny Tickle gave the Airlie Birds a 36-12 advantage.

The Tigers were able to score two tries through Rangi Chase and James Evans, but they were scant consolation, and Craig Fitzgibbon converted his own try late on to ensure Hull had the final say.
