Match Report
The Robins took the lead after 14 minutes. Lachlan Coote was able to chip over the top of the Salford defence and take in his own kick to score. He then added on the conversion to open up a six-point lead.
Just two minutes later, Coote went over again. This time, he supported a break from Matt Parcell to go over. He then added the conversion to double his and Hull KR’s tally for the afternoon.
Hull KR then added their third try just before the 25-minute mark. Straight from a scrum, the Robins worked the ball out to Ryan Hall, who managed to score the try. Coote maintained his perfect record with the boot.
Salford had to respond next, and they did just three minutes later. Hull KR failed to deal with a kick from Harvey Livett, and Kallum Watkins managed to get there first and score. Marc Sneyd added the conversion to reduce the deficit.
However, the final word of the half would go to the Robins. Coote added a drop-goal right on the hooter to put Hull KR back ahead by three scores.

The next try of the second half felt crucial, and it was the hosts who got it 10 minutes in. Once again, they were able to work the ball out to Hall, who went over for his second. Coote was once again able to add the conversion.
Things got worse for Salford just before the hour. Tyler Dupree was sent to the sin bin following a coming together between the two sides.
Eventually, the Robins would make the extra man count. Ethan Ryan was able to get the ball after the pass went behind him, and he managed to score under the posts. Coote added the conversion once again.
With just over 10 minutes to go, the Robins added their sixth try. Ben Crooks managed to get through a gap and dive over for his first try. Coote was again able to add the conversion.
In the aftermath of that try, Salford found themselves down to 12 men again. This time, it was Harvey Livett was sent to the sin bin after an incident in the buildup.
Despite being a man light, it was Salford who scored next. Deon Cross was able to re-collect a kick and get the ball down. Sneyd added the extra two points.
However, just three minutes later, Hull KR claimed their seventh try of the afternoon. They kept the ball alive well, allowing Crooks to get over for his second try. Coote ensured he would end the day with a perfect kicking record.
But the final word would go to Salford. Tim Lafai attacked the line, and was able to get the ball to Joe Burgess, who went over for another consolation score.
That was the way it stayed, as Hull KR claimed a much-needed victory, which lifted them up to sixth in the Super League. They make the trip to league leaders and defending champions St Helens next week.
Meanwhile, Salford’s two-match winning streak was brought to an end. They welcome Wigan in their next game on Friday.
