Hull KR could be without Ben Crooks for six months

Hull KR winger Ben Crooks could be out for up to six months with a neck injury.

The 26-year-old was sent for scans after complaining to medical staff about a pain in his neck after last week’s home defeat by Castleford.

Crooks has been told by a specialist that he does not yet need surgery but he will be reviewed in a fortnight depending on his recovery.

A Hull KR club spokesman said: “If it is still deemed that no surgery is required then it is estimated Ben will potentially miss around two months of action.

“Should surgery eventually still be required, then he could be missing for up to six months.”
