Hull KR star Mose Masoe suffers serious spinal injury

Hull KR prop Mose Masoe is currently in hospital after undergoing surgery on a serious spinal injury overnight.

The 30-year-old suffered the injury in Sunday’s pre-season friendly against Wakefield, which Trinity won 18-6 at the Mobile Rocket Stadium.

Masoe stayed down following a collision in the opening minutes and was stretchered off the field following a 10-minute stoppage.

Hull KR have released a statement, it read: “Following the injury to Mose Masoe during yesterday’s friendly with Wakefield Trinity, the club can confirm Mose has suffered a serious spinal injury and was operated on overnight at Leeds General Hospital.

“The club will provide further updates as soon as possible.”
