Hull KR v Castleford: Coote misses out as Massey returns for Tigers

Josh McAllister
Hull KR

Lachlan Coote misses out for Hull KR in their home clash with Castleford in round three of the Super League.

The full-back missed the side’s trip to Huddersfield last week, which saw Will Dagger named at the back by Tony Smith.

Coote underwent shoulder surgery at the end of last season after helping St Helens claim a third straight title. He made his debut against Wigan in the opening round, before missing the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium.

Ben Crooks also misses out due to injury.

Elliot Minchella has been named in the squad. The forward made his return from injury for Dewsbury in the Championship against Sheffield.

Nathan Massey named for first time

Castleford will be without three 2022 recruits following last week’s fixture against Warrington. Jake Mamo misses out due to concussion protocols. Kenny Edwards misses out through injury, while George Lawler will serve his one-match suspension.

Nathan Massey has been named for the first time in 2022. He is set to make his comeback from a minor injury that has seen him sidelined for the opening two rounds.

The 32-year-old was recently awarded a 12-month testimonial by the Rugby Football League.

Youngster Brad Martin has also been included for the first time. Tyla Hepi could make his first Super League appearance of the campaign.
