Hull KR winger Ryan Hall forced from action with rib injury

Hull KR boss Willie Peters confirmed winger Ryan Hall suffered a rib injury during the 27-18 home victory over Wigan. 

Channel 4 commentator Mark Wilson confirmed the injury early in the second half as the hosts led 13-12 at half-time thanks to a field goal from Jordan Abdull.

Hull KR went on to finish off the game in style, with captain Shaun Kenny-Dowall completing his first-ever hat-trick for the club.

Hall opened the scoring just three minutes into Saturday’s clash at Craven Park. The 35-year-old crossing in the corner, with  Kenny-Dowall initially catching the kick from Abdull.

Hall was replaced by Dean Hadley after the break. Kenny-Dowall moving to wing, with new recruit James Batchelor shifting to the centres.

Meanwhile, Kane Linnett also crossed for a four-pointer for an impressive first victory under coach Peters.

Following the fixture, Peters confirmed winger Hall was brought off at half-time with a rib injury, while debutant Kennedy faces a precautionary trip to hospital after being flattened for a lengthy period in the second period.

35-year-old centre Kenny-Dowall was moved to the wing, helping him complete his hat-trick in the second half.

“Shaun was outstanding,” Peters said on his captain. “He’s been doing it now for quite a few years in the NRL and over here, and he’s our inspirational leader.

“We had some adversity with Ryan going off at half-time and Shaun went on the wing and handled it like a true leader would.”
