Hunslet 2023 squad numbers: Sam Hallas to wear No. 9
Former Bradford hooker Sam Hallas will wear the number nine shirt for Hunslet in 2023 after recently joining the League 1 club.
The 26-year-old has penned a one-year deal with the Parksiders for the upcoming season.
Hallas, who came through the ranks at Leeds, made more than 100 appearances for Bradford. He then enjoyed a short spell with Newcastle Thunder in 2022 before returning to the Bulls.
Hunslet coach Alan Kilshaw has given Hallas the number nine shirt for 2023.
Jimmy Watson has retained the number one shirt for next season, whilst Germany international Adam Ryder will wear three following his move from Dewsbury.
Jake Sweeting will partner Nathan Conroy in the halves this season, with the pair wearing six and seven respectively.
Steve Crossley has been appointed captain for 2023 and he will wear the number 10 jersey.
Former Leeds forward Josh Jordan-Roberts has been given the number 11 following his move from Rochdale. Also joining the Parksiders from Rochdale is Jordan Syme, who gets the number 16 shirt.
The experienced Michael Knowles will wear the 13 shirt after making the switch from Dewsbury.
Harvey Whiteley, who came through the Leeds academy, receives the number 18 jersey.
Huddersfield academy product Jamie Greenwood will wear the 23 shirt for Hunslet in 2023.
Former St Helens back Nico Rizzelli, who signed for the Parksiders in October, is unable to take up his contract due to work commitments. Hunslet say they are actively seeking a replacement for the utility back.
