Hunslet have re-signed half back Thomas Coyle on loan from Leigh until the end of the season.

Coyle, 25, recently had a loan period at the club but was re-called by Centurions head coach Paul Rowley following injuries to their first choice halfbacks.

However, Ryan Brierley and Martin Ridyard have returned to fitness meaning he became available again.

Hawks’ Director of Rugby Darren Williams said, “In his previous loan period Thomas was instrumental in our improvement in form pushing Batley, Sheffield & Halifax all the way.

“He’s the on field general and organiser we have been searching for and were delighted to have his services for the crucial run in.

“We have our own injury concerns over our half’s as Luke Helliwell is close to full fitness but Danny Grimshaw is not responding to treatment, so he has an appointment with the Leeds Rhinos medical staff this evening for a further assessment.”

The club has also announced that Dewsbury Rams hooker Matthew Tebb has joined the club on loan for a month; Tebb will train with his new team mates this evening and will also be available for selection for Sunday’s crucial game at Keighley Cougars.

Williams added, “We tried to sign Matthew in pre-season after his form in 2012 really impressed us, however he chose to stay at Dewsbury.

“He has found game time hard to come by at the Rams following the acquisition of Kane Bentley and Ryan Wright along with the dual registration of Adam O’ Brien.

“He is quick out of dummy half and is absolutely desperate to make the most of this opportunity, his enthusiasm is second to none.”

Finally, Williams also revealed that Liam Hood has been given the all clear following a fitness test and will also be available for selection on Sunday.

However one player who will be missing is James Houston who has submitted an early guilty plea for dangerous contact in the Swinton game on 23rd June and has received a one match ban.
