Hunslet to face Leeds and Bradford in pre-season

James Gordon

League One side Hunslet have confirmed pre-season friendlies against Super League side Leeds and Championship sides Bradford and Batley.

The Parksiders will host the Rhinos on Friday January 31 (7.30pm), the same weekend as the new Super League season starts, with Leeds traditionally sending a young side for the Harry Jepson OBE Memorial Trophy.

Jepson served both clubs with distinction in an administrative capacity. Previously contested for the Lazenby Cup, the match dates back over a century and has invariably been closely fought.

Bradford visit the South Leeds Stadium on Sunday January 5, with Batley visiting on Sunday January 12.

Admission to the Bradford and Batley games is £10 adults and £5 concessions (under 16s free).
Entry costs are the same for the Leeds game although Hunslet are inviting spectators to make a further voluntary donation towards the continued running of the club as a supporters-run model.
