Inclement weather delays Challenge Cup start

All ten Carnegie Challenge Cup ties scheduled for the weekend of 2nd-3rd January were postponed due to the inclement weather.

All ten have been re-scheduled for Saturday 9th, and if pitches are unfit on that occasion the fixtures may be completed the following day.

Should games not be completed on that weekend the Rugby Football League will have to make arrangements to avoid clashes with first-round ties scheduled for the 23rd-24th.

The weekend of 16th-17th January is already scheduled for the Ace Insurance BARLA National Cup.
