Injured Lee Gilmour ends time at Huddersfield
Lee Gilmour’s season has come to an end due to a shoulder injury.
Gilmour will undergo surgery on Wednesday, meaning his time at Huddersfield is over as the 34-year old will join Castleford from next season.
The former Great Britain international has appeared 81 times for the Giants, scoring 19 tries.
Giants’ head coach Paul Anderson said Gilmour is a true professional.
Anderson said: “It is just not healthy for him to get the knocks. He has seen the surgeon and he has some issues in his shoulder which need surgical input.
“All being well, the surgery will prove a success and he’ll make a full recovery. Lee intends to stay around the squad once the operation is done, and give us his full support from the sidelines.”
