Jack Hughes to captain Warrington in 2021
Jack Hughes will be Warrington’s captain for the 2021 season.
The 29-year-old forward has made 139 appearances for the club since arriving from Wigan in 2016.
Hughes shared leadership duties with co-captain Chris Hill last season but Hill has stepped down from captaincy duties after five seasons to focus on his own performances, while remaining committed to supporting Hughes in his role going forward.
Hughes said: “It’s a massive honour and something I’m really proud of.
“Obviously, I understand the weight and responsibility that comes with the role and it’s something I’ll take extremely seriously.
“I’ll upholds the highest of standards at all times – any leadership role would require that – but I’m extremely proud.”
