Jake Wardle has escaped a suspension following his sin-bin in the win over Leigh, while team-mate Willie Isa is set to miss the Good Friday derby .

Wardle, 24, was sent for 10 on Thursday at the Leigh Sports Village for a late shot on opposition full-back Gareth O’Brien, who did not return to the field after failing his head injury assessment.

The Wigan centre has been fined £250 with a Grade B late contact on passer, but is free to play this Friday.

However, Matt Peet will be without back-rower Willie Isa ahead of their Rivals Round clash with St Helens at the DW Stadium.

The 34-year-old has received a one-match penalty notice for a Grade B dangerous contact for late contact on passer.

He is the only player to receive a ban ahead of Super League Round Eight.

Two other Wigan players were fined in Kaide Ellis and Brad O’Neill for Dangerous Contact respectively. But the pair will be free to face Paul Wellens’ side.

Huddersfield’s Matty English is the only other player charged for a Grade A dangerous contact. However, the 25-year-old did not receive a fine.
