Jamie Jones-Buchanan hailed his emotional testimonial as the greatest moment of his career.

Jones-Buchanan, 38, hung up his boots at the end of last season but dug them out for one final time at Headingley against Bradford on Sunday, and was joined by an array of legendary former team-mates in support of Rob Burrow.

Members of the Leeds dynasty, including Kevin Sinfield, Jamie Peacock and Danny McGuire, donned the jersey once more in front of a sell-out crowd.

JJB told Sky Sports: “It’s probably the greatest moment of my career.

“The way everyone has rallied round Rob, it’s all about team spirit. This group of boys have spent 20 years fighting tooth and nail, we’ve been dragged to the bottom and we’ve been at the highest of elation.

“No matter what happens now or in a million years, nobody can ever change what this group has achieved.

“At times of adversity, when things have been difficult, the boys have never left anyone behind.

“Tonight encapsulates it all. The things we can control, we will, and to do our best to support Rob and his family.”
