Jay Pitts signs new Wakefield deal
Wakefield forward Jay Pitts has signed a new two-year contract, with the option to extend for a further year in 2023.
Pitts joined Trinity from London Broncos ahead of the 2020 season, making 14 appearances for the club so far.
Wakefield coach Chris Chester said: “I’m really pleased Pittsy is here for another few years.
“He has been really consistent for us since joining last season and it was a no-brainer for all parties to extend his deal.
“Pittsy is a quality player, a really good professional and a leader, which is why we’re all delighted he’s here for the next couple of years.”
Pitts said: “I’m over the moon and really happy to get it sorted.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first year, despite all the difficulties in the year. It was a no-brainer for me to extend really.
“2020 was a frustrating season, with all the stopping and starting, plus all the self-isolating I had to do, but I’m just ready to kick on now and get going.”
