Jesse Sene-Lefao banned for striking with knee

Castleford forward Jesse Sene-Lefao has picked up a two-match ban for striking Wigan prop Ollie Partington with his knee.

The 29-year-old was sent-off in the second half of the Tigers’ 26-8 defeat to the Warriors last Thursday.

Sene-Lefao has been given a two-match suspension for Grade C striking with his knee on young prop Partington at the DW Stadium.

Partington also picked up a one-match ban for Grade A striking of his arm on Castleford centre Cheyse Blair. He’ll miss Friday’s play-off clash with Salford.

Elsewhere, Hull KR hooker Matt Parcell has been banned for three matches for Grade C dangerous contact.

Leeds winger Luke Briscoe has been given a one-match ban for Grade B dropping of his knees, while Warrington half-back Matty Smith will serve a one-match suspension for Grade B dangerous contact.

London playmaker James Cunningham has been charged with a Grade F offence for unacceptable language and his case has been referred to a tribunal.

In League 1, Workington forward Danny Tickle has been handed a one-match ban for Grade B dangerous contact.

Newcastle star Matthew Wright has been charged with a Grade D offence for a high tackle and his case has been referred to a tribunal.
