Keighley Cougars forward Jack Arnold has signed a new deal keeping him at the club until the end of the 2022 campaign.

The hard-hitting prop forward joined the club from amateur outfit Upton following a successful trial prior to the start of the 2019 season.

Arnold made 12 appearances in his debut year before having his season prematurely ended through suspension.

He was originally contracted until the end of the season but will now remain at Cougar Park for a further 12 months.

Arnold appeared off the bench in both of the Cougars’ opening two games of 2021 – a friendly against Bradford and their valiant Challenge Cup defeat to London Broncos.

Speaking about the extension, head coach Rhys Lovegrove said: “Since coming to the club in 2019, Jack has really understood the systems and processes I have implemented at the club.

“Jack is a talented human being who has adapted to the way we play, and it is a reward for his patience when he was sidelined through suspension and then the pandemic.

“He has really improved every season since he came to the club and I am really excited to see what the future holds for Jack.”
