Kenny pens new Broncos deal
Brisbane have rewarded prop Nick Kenny for his loyalty with a three year contract.
Kenny, a qualified physiotherapist, will play his 50th game for the Broncos this weekend and admits that he is delighted to re-sign with the club he has supported since he was a boy.
“I love the club and I have done since I was a youngster,” said Kenny.
“I was very proud and honoured to just play one NRL game here. Fifty games later I have got another three years with the club, so it is a dream to sign a long-term contract.
“I have been a Brisbane Broncos and Queensland supporter since I was six years of age, so I have never ever wanted to be at another club.”
Broncos coach Ivan Henjak said the new deal was testament to Kenny’s work ethic.
“He has worked really hard to get to where he is,” said Henjak.
“Nick has had to battle hard here and through that he has proved his tremendous character.
“He loves the Broncos and has been prepared to work hard and be patient to get what he wants.”
