Kevin Penny finds form at Swinton
Swinton Lions’ Kevin Penny believes he is finally finding the right form since joining the Lions at the start of the season.
Penny admitted he had struggled to fit in with the Lions when he first joined, but has since improved on his performances which include a man-of-the-match display against Sheffield.
Penny said: “I feel a lot more comfortable and have felt good in training the last few weeks.
“My form usually gets better at this time of year but it would be good to review it all and start the season off like this.”
Despite contributing a lot more to the side since his improvement in form, Penny also says the team has to improve their performances.
He said: “We are not completing sets as we should do after scoring tries and you can’t afford to do that at any level.”
Swinton lost to Sheffield 34-28, and after a week off due to the Northern Rail Cup face Halifax on Sunday.
