Featherstone Rovers coach Andy Hay will check on Andy Bostock (groin), Sam Smeaton (hamstring) and Liam Walmsley (arm) before making a decision on which players will face Sheffield Eagles in Sunday’s Kingstone Press Championship play-off showdown.

Rovers lost 40-28 against Sheffield last month, and Hay will be keen to gain revenge.

He said: “We’re really looking forward to it; one win and we’re in the Grand Final.”

Sheffield Eagles coach Mark Aston will check on James Davey (knee) before finalising his team.

Aston said: “We had a bit more momentum about us (against Doncaster) and looked clinical at times. If we can put our offence and defence together at the same time then we’re in good shape and we’ll take some beating.

“We went to Featherstone a number of weeks ago and came away with a great result, and we need to do it again.

“It’s going to be a physical battle. We want to get to the Grand Final, and we’re looking forward to the game on Sunday.”
