Kingstone Press Championships play-off fixtures confirmed

A thrilling golden point victory at Leigh moved Batley within 80 minutes of their first Championship Grand Final.

Ben Black‘s drop goal in extra time earned the Bulldogs a 15-14 win in front of the Premier Sports TV cameras at Leigh Sports Village, and set up a semi-final tie against Featherstone on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Sheffield marked the final ever game at Don Valley Stadium with a comfortable 52-16 win over Dewsbury, which sends them through to a re-match with Halifax at The Shay on Thursday – Halifax defeated the Eagles in the first round of the play-offs.

In Championship 1, Rochdale secured their place in the Grand Final with a 23-22 win over Oldham, who will now face London Skolars in the final eliminator, after Skolars saw off Hemel Stags at the weekend.
