PREMIER DIVISION

EAST LEEDS cruised to 30-10 home win over LEIGH MINERS RANGERS.

The visitors were limited to a try in each half – through wingers Jake Waterworth and Andrew Groves – with their only other points coming from a Waterworth conversion.

The hosts were 12-4 ahead by the break and made the game safe with three more converted tries in the second half.

David Nurse, Courtney Saville and Joey Walkin all crossed in the second period, with stand-off Nathan Conroy completing a five goal haul. Second-rower Ben Walkin grabbed the first half tries as he raced over for a brace.

A 14-point haul from Gareth Blackburn helped SIDDAL to a narrow 34-30 success at HULL DOCKERS.

The full-back crossed for a first-half try and booted five goals as his side picked up the points and maintained their place at the top of the table.

Iain Davies, Shaun Garrod, Mark Boothroyd, Richard Lopag and Scott Caley were the other men to cross the whitewash.

Dockers – who led 18-8 at half-time – managed five tries of their own, with Richard Dougal, Craig Skelton, Robbie Smith, Chris Stephenson and Jon Eccles on the score sheet. Skelton and Stephenson (4) added the extras.

LOCK LANE powered to a comfortable 46-4 victory over EGREMONT RANGERS.

A Daniel Telford try in the 27th minute kept the visitors in the contest at the break, with the hosts only leading 12-4. However, the second period was all one-way traffic as Lock Lane took control.

Winger Adam Garlick completed a four-try haul – with two in each half – and scrum-half Danny Rowse landed seven goals for a successful afternoon with the boot.

Michael Hayward, Daniel Holmes and Chris Siddons (2) all crossed in the second period as the home side picked up a seventh win of the season.

THATTO HEATH CRUSADERS sent SKIRLAUGH back home to Hull with nothing to show for the efforts thanks to a 26-14 win.

Tries from Alex Holland, Jordan Houghton, Jack Jones and Darren Woods tries helped Thatto build a 20-8 lead by the interval, and a second half effort from Alex McClurg – plus the completion of Jones’ three-goal haul – made the game safe.

Skirlaugh remain locked in the relegation battle despite a try and three goals from Ross Kemp and a further touchdown from Joseph McLocklan.

WIGAN ST JUDES remain rooted to the foot of the table following a 38-12 loss at WATH BROW HORNETS.

Winger Scott Pink led the Hornets charge with a try and five goals, whilst Fran King, Charlie Tomlinson, Richard Huby, Matthew Huby, Mark Watson and Jamie Martin all touched down.

St Judes managed a try in each half from Thomas Owen and Carl Jones, with Adam Lavin and David Carney adding the extras.

HUNSLET WARRIORS picked up just their third win of the campaign thanks to a 28-26 win at WIGAN ST PATRICKS.

Stand-off Nathan Kitson crucially landed five conversions for the Warriors whilst the home side could only manage three via Daniel Pyke and Bradley Smith (2).

Gary McClelland (2), Lloyd Templeton, Caldon Bravo and Karl Featherstone were the Warriors to cross the line, and in reply St Pats had try scorers in the shape of Earl Hurst, William Boardman, Ryan Smith (2) and Anthony Griffiths.

DIVISION ONE

DEWSBURY CELTIC held NORMANTON KNIGHTS to a 6-6 draw.

The Knights took a fifth minute lead thanks to a try from second-rower Paul Seal, but the hosts hit back to lead 6-4 at the break after Danny Crabtree touched down and Pat Foulstone landed a penalty.

With defences dominating the only points of the second period arrived when Adie Mulcahy landed a penalty which meant honours were even.

A Matt Brockson brace in the final 15 minutes was not enough to prevent MILFORD MARLINS from slipping to a 22-20 defeat to MILLOM.

Ross Brookes and Thomas Sibley both scored twice for the Cumbrians with three goals from Brookes proving crucial.

Martin Loveridge improved both of Brockson’s late efforts but was unable to improve a brace from David Watmough.

MYTON WARRIORS moved fourth thanks to a 24-16 win over INCE ROSE BRIDGE.

The home side were never behind and prevailed thanks to tries from Lee James (2), Liam Garnett, Nathan Slater and Ryan Marraza, two of which Ash James improved.

Jimmy Highton, Ryan Eccleston and Gary Winstanley replied for Ince. Kenny Baker landed two goals.

ROCHDALE MAYFIELD kept their promotion push on course with a 24-6 win over SHAW CROSS SHARKS.

Matt Calland and Joe Qauninci and both crossed twice for Mayfield whilst Callum Marriott and Paul Brearley also touched down. Sam Butterworth added a goal.

The Sharks were limited to a Nathan Smith try and Casey Johnson conversion.

The weather wrecked the other two games in the division with Oulton Raiders contest against York Acorn falling victim to a waterlogged pitch before kick-off, whilst the Saddleworth Rangers were 24-0 ahead at the break before the wet weather called a halt to their clash with Eccles

DIVISION TWO

STANNINGLEY picked up their first win of the season thanks to an impressive 28-0 win over CASTLEFORD PANTHERS.

Mark Calderwood, Aiden Barany, Scott Pascal, Joe Phipps and Tom Sharp all touched down as Ashley Kearsley landed four goals.

ASKAM crossed for eight tries as they accounted for OLDHAM ST ANNES 44-12.

Andrew Young (2), Ben Lewney and Thomas Holmes all crossed in the opening period, whilst full-back Kristian Tyson added the first of six-goal haul.

Mark Tyson, Adam Jackson, Darren Gaskell and Thomas Hopkins added second half efforts, meaning efforts from Kiel Lancashire and Russell Cawdron – both goaled by Lancashire – were mere consolation.

KELLS recorded win number nine of the season thanks to a 36-22 home success over BRADFORD DUDLEY HILL.

Centre Connor Holliday crossed four times for the home side, whilst Lewis Smith, Tyrone Dalton and Barry Boyd also touched down. Tony Burns (3) and Ryan Robb added the extras.

Bradford were 26-12 adrift at the break, but did manage tries from David Halley, Ryan Dickinson, Kyle Carter and James Morton, three of which were improved by scrum-half Simon Sewell.

PILKINGTON RECS shut out OVENDEN to record an 18-0 victory.

John Rees, Ryan Liptrot and Mark Ashton all crossed and Daniel Lynch added three goals to complete the job.

ELLAND are third after a 28-0 win over STANLEY RANGERS.

Cayci Pearson, Chris Cullimore, Jack Fairbank and Junaid Malik all grabbed four-pointers with Pearson (2) and Joseph Nicholson (2) adding the conversions.

WATERHEAD edged past LEIGH EAST 18-16.

The game was only settled with two minutes left after Jamie Mayall converted a Darren Nixon try as the Oldham side consolidated their place in mid-table.

Daniel Maher and Nixon had crossed in the first half for the home side as Mayall improved both to finish with a three-goal haul.

Leigh remained in contention throughout thanks to a try and two goals from Ryan Peters, plus efforts from Connor Johnson and Alex Holcroft.

DIVISION THREE

FEATHERSTONE LIONS kept their place at the summit thanks to a 14-4 win over CROSFIELDS.

The visitors led 4-0 at the break thanks to a try from Keiran Thomas, before the Lions hit the front just four minutes after the re-start through Ian Jackson’s try which Richard Frankland goaled.

Matty Johnson and Brendan Gibbins added touchdowns before the hour-mark to complete the scoring.

COVENTRY BEARS picked up their third win of the season following a 28-8 win over WOOLSTON ROVERS.

The Rovers were 8-6 ahead at half-time thanks to a try by Lee Addison and two Chris Mellor goals, however, the Bears hit back through two tries to Liam Scott and further efforts from George Carlton, Richard Neur and Matt Brewer. Stephen Coleman (3) and Dan Poulton added the goals.

HEWORTH were too good for EASTMOOR DRAGONS as they ran out 36-8 winners.

Lee Whiteley and Samuel Pool-Evans crossed for the Dragons tries, but they had no answer to a home side which was led by two-try Christian Pollock.

Adam Withington, James Farnsworth, Danny Allan, George Wilkinson and Liam Richmond added further efforts, as Allan’s four-goals completed the win.

UNDERBANK RANGERS slipped to a surprise 10-4 defeat to HINDLEY.

A Dan Pawson try had given Underbank a 4-0 half-time lead, before Anthony Hopkins 44th minute effort – goaled by Chris Scarborough – gave the hosts the lead.

Two further Scarborough penalties sealed the win.
