Kristian Woolf gives update on Regan Grace
St Helens Head Coach Kristian Woolf is hopeful winger Regan Grace will be available again “in a week or two.”
Grace has not featured for St Helens so far in 2022, after picking up a bicep injury during pre-season training. He has not featured since the 2021 Super League Grand Final win over Catalans.
Konrad Hurrell had come into the squad, but will sit out Friday’s match with Warrington after picking up a one-match penalty notice.
When asked for an update on Grace’s fitness, Woolf said: “He’s not too far off. A week or two I would think.
“He still has a little bit to get through just yet, and that’s why I don’t want to commit to anything. He still has a few things to get through physically with us, and with the doctor as well.
“He’s definitely close, but not too far off.”
Woolf without Konrad Hurrell for Warrington clash
Ahead of Friday’s Super League clash against Warrington, it was announced St Helens would be without Konrad Hurrell after he was given a one-match penalty notice.
Hurrell was sent to the sin bin after a late hit during Saints’ 42-8 win over Hull KR last Friday.

As a result, he was charged with a Grade A Late Hit, and received a one-match penalty notice. Hurrell had started in all four of Saints’ Super League matches.
Meanwhile, Warrington will be without winger Josh Charnley and Matt Davis for the game.
Charnley was given a two-match penalty notice after being given a Grade C Striking charge. While Davis received a one-match penalty notice for a Grade B Dangerous Tackle.
